Sobek & Ben

Some daily characters! I tried out some painted style shading with these ones.

Sobek is Piko's imaginary friend who is very technical. This stingray has the power to detect life forms, which can come in handy during battles. He is usually fairly serious and likes to get things done in an orderly manner. Sobek is a creature of few words, but is very considerate when he does speak up.

Ben is a very friendly man who loves to sing. He is the very charming husband of Joney who is extremely charismatic and sociable.

Personality Types & More!

I've been doing some quick sketches of my characters recently.

A while back I took the MBTI personality test for 6 of my characters (Scott, Zandra, Grenna, Pubby, Ralphie, and Gair). So I decided to read up on some of the descriptions and fill in the rest of the types with some of my other main characters. The MBTI personality test is really interesting to me and I think it really tells a lot about a person, so linking them to my characters was a really good exercise to flesh out some attributes of them more clearly.

This was a little painting test that I did. I started with a quick 5 minute or less sketch and painted without any lines. Lineless is usually a challenge for me, but it was fun to try something different.

I realized I had NO recent drawings of Kominushu so I decided to make a little sketch of her.

Fridge & Bernard

Not as obscure of characters. An antagonist and a Nay!

Fridge is a murderous creature that was once very dangerous in PS World. After his defeat, his remains wound up in Compass World, where Electric Ying Ying used them to experiment on. Once he was revived, he wanted destruction of Biggert City, ultimately leading to the destruction of the one who killed him. He often jokes around, despite how terrifying he is. Fridge enjoys playing with his enemies and usually despises killing them right away (aside from those who cause him to lose his temper).

Bernard is the imaginary friend of Rudat who has great navigational abilities. This old man is also a very successful doctor who has amazing healing abilities. He is very strict and often in a bad mood though.

Halloween Gif

Last week I visited the ASC meeting at CCAD and participated in their Smackdown challenge. So I made a little gif of Pubby with a pumpkin since the theme was Halloween!

Reda & Jarren

After a short break, I'm back into my daily character project!

Reda is a very rich member of the Baby Council. He is very stuck up and full of himself. He does not tolerate foolishness and will report any offenses towards him, straight to the leaders of the Baby Council.

Jarren is a famous actor from SN World who stars in action movies. He is very talented at performing difficult stunts for fight scenes. Jarren is very serious about his job and has a pretty large ego because of his popularity. Although, he is not very pleased when starring in a movie with Gostream, because his popularity and attention is taken away.

Huevember!

I decided to give Huemember a go and do some sketches. I'm not planning on doing it every day, but every now and then I might just sketch in the daily hue to contribute to the project. Yesterday was yellow, so I drew some of my characters whose main color is yellow.

Life Drawings & Other Sketches

I've been drawing in my sketchbook a lot more this past week, since I was on a little mini-vacation to visit some friends. Now I'm back so you'll be seeing some more digital stuff soon!

I went to the park and drew some kids!

Some doodles of characters and things. I drew my friend Hillary's character too.
