Pokemon X!

It's been a super fun weekend!  As you'll see in my sketch journal pages, a lot went on this weekend. There was a lot of fun stuff I did with friends, but not exactly that much art. Luckily a lot of my homework was done before Friday night. But a lot happened on Saturday that I only actually picked 1-2 things to draw for the sketch journal. A bunch of my friends came over to our room and we had a Pokemon party. My friend Emma spent the night too, so that was a lot of fun!

Rough Week

It's been kind of a rough past few days for me. Mostly just personal problems, but I've been keeping up on my work at least!

Just finished my sketch journal! I'm thinking about doing digital sketches from now on. Probably only spending about a minute on each. At least this way you'll be able to tell what's happening and not have to look at my terrible quality scans. Sorry about that, my scanner's been acting weird with these pages for some reason.

Various Sketches

This week I've been trying to get ahead in doing my LA homework that is due next week. Since this weekend I have a lot of plans for fun things with my friends, I don't want all of that LA homework to get in the way. On another note, I've been meeting with a bunch of my professors this week and finding out things to improve on, so I will be trying out a lot of new things and trying to make portfolio pieces hopefully in the weeks  to come.

Some little sketches I did of my characters in my free time. I've realized how much I really enjoy drawing my brother's character Firebreath (he's the dragon one).

We started using charcoal in my portrait drawing class this week. It is fairly difficult for me.

Family Weekend!

This weekend was family weekend at CCAD, so a lot of peoples' families came in to visit. My family came yesterday afternoon, so I've been spending time with them since then. Also, to top that off, today is my brother's 25th birthday, so we got to celebrate too.

Today is my brother's birthday, so I drew him this little gift. I couldn't decide how to arrange them, so I ended up making more than one.

Wolf-Dog Hybrid!

I attended my friend's Cafe Sketch class on Wednesday.  We went to the Topiary Park and drew a wolf-dog hybrid.  It was awesome, and really a great resource to study from for my Drawing for Entertainment Design class.  It was great to be up and personal with a wolf hybrid.  I drew so many gestures of him that I ended up finishing my sketch book finally.

2 Years Old!

My blog is officially 2 years old today! The first few months I had it, I rarely used it, but now I post a few times a week. I think I've progressed a bit. But anyway, I'm super busy with homework, so I don't have too much new stuff to post, but here it is!

Portrait done in class this week.  I can tell I'm much more successful with doing closer to side views than full 3/4 views. Still working on getting the likeness though.
