Art Slump

So I've been in an art slump recently... but how am I gonna cure it? Keep drawing!

I realized it might have been because I haven't worked on my story or really drawn my characters doing anything related to the story in forever. It's honestly been a few months since I really did. So it only makes sense.

So I have this massive folder with hundreds of documents related to my story. One of which is future plans with spoilers and things that haven't happened yet. I decided to compile those into one image file. I took one quote or made up one on the spot that correlates to each major story point that I have planned to take place next. I really need to start writing again so I can get my inspiration back. Just listening to music and reading stuff already helped a lot today.

(Also I got a bit of inspiration from P5's cellphone menu for the format of this)

I've been busy so I only had time for quick sketchbook doodles the past couple of days. I suspect I'll be able to draw more pretty soon, so bigger updates can happen.

It was super hot so I doodled Zandra being sweaty.

Bi-Daily Postings

So as you may have noticed I haven't been posting blog posts every day. I'm going to focus more on posting one drawing a day on my Instagram, deviantART, Twitter, and Facebook. Since I'm kind of busy and can't knock out two drawings a day, I'll be posting blog posts every other day unless I have a day that I am able to draw more. This way my Facebook account won't get cluttered with two of the same drawing posted every day.

Persona 5 Digital Doodles

My cintiq is back and working again!! So now I'm able to do digital art. There's still some getting used to since it's been awhile, but I'm looking forward to drawing more again. I'll probably try to get back in the habit of doing more starting this weekend, once I have a bit more free time.

Oh yeah and I've been playing P5 whenever I can, so I did some P5 doodles to test out my pen pressure and make sure everything was working.

On Thursday I went out to Buffalo Wild Wings since I still had an unused gift card. And then I went to Panda Express over the weekend.

P5 Sketches

Currently most of my free time has gone to playing Persona 5 since I've been waiting for that game for years, so I've been super excited to finally try it out.  In the meantime I did some sketchbook drawings.

I named the main character of Persona 5 after my character Scott, so sometimes I like to imagine he's saying some of these choices. It's funny because we're nothing alike, and a few of the choices I've chosen just because I thought it would sound funny with Scott saying them. But yeah this is Scott saying one of the first choices I made in the game.

And then these are some P5 character doodles that I did like 2 minutes before dinner the other day.

Phone Doodles

Getting back into the routine of non-camp life is always difficult, but this time specifically because I only had a day off in between camp and work. So I'm doing what I can to get back into things. 

Also, a couple of days ago my desktop computer decided to give me some problems and decide to not turn on. So I'm in the process of trying to get that fixed and upgraded.

So since I haven't been able to do real digital art on my cintiq, I've been doing these doodles on my phone using my finger.

So I'm back, but still got a lot going on. I may not do these every day, but I'll try to draw them whenever I can!

The Nays discover the real World Leader of Tag World. Meanwhile, Trophus, a bird-in-watching, comes to watch The Nays while their bird-in-trainings are off taking care of Tag World business.

The Gek tries to get revenge on Tag World after they take it away from him. Grenna is one of them that gets in his way.

SBC Sketchbook Doodles!

Throughout the past two weeks I've been trying to sketch at least one page a day, but I also did a lot more on the plane during my flight home. It's been so long since I sat down and did a finished drawing or since I've looked at drawings of my characters that I kind of forgot how to draw some of them, haha. But now that I'm back, I'm gonna get back into the groove.

Back from Spring Break Camp!

I had such an amazing time at Spring Break Camp these past two weeks! I met so many new amazing friends and had so much fun. So much happened and I'm going to miss it a whole lot. I could go on and on about how much fun I had, but for now I'm gonna keep it short. Week 1 I taught Maya at Alexa Cafe, and week 2 I was a tech coordinator at iD Tech. And during these past two weeks, I've been drawing whenever I could. These are the life drawings that I doodled in my sketchbook throughout the weeks.

Lots of drawings at the airports and during camp when kids asked if I could draw them or other people. This was my one exception to draw people for free, haha.
