Remember Daily Characters?

I'm getting back into the habit of drawing daily characters again! I counted out how many I currently think I have left, and I have enough to keep me busy until the end of March next year. After that I may even go in and start drawing super minor characters without names, or check for ones who said like one line. We'll see!

Floaz is a powerful magic user who invented T-Brink, the cleaning method used in Frank Lady World. He is the brother of Buisze, another magical man who lives in Frank Lady World. Floaz teaches Mushy how to make his magic more powerful, and is known for honing abilities. He is very focused and likes to be alone. Floaz is very introverted and enjoys living in isolated areas, where he can focus on improving his abilities more than interacting with others.

Zero is a very outgoing young bird who wants to be a Bird-in-Training, like his older brother Pidgebeetle. He is very close friends with Hawkster, and the two are always seen hanging out together. Zero loves to talk, and will even narrate over things when he gets bored.

Digital Camp Doodles

Towards the beginning of the summer, I tried doing more digital doodles, and then once the summer went on, I really only had time to do a few during the Ultimate Gaming Weekends while I was supervising the kids.

I drew Zandra while I was showing one of my co-workers how the Intuos Tablets worked.

A sketch of Gair that I did in the labs one day.

I drew this on Ann's birthday back in June.

This was one of the first drawings I did of myself, since my camp name is Eevee.
Super quick Pubby doodle that I scribbled in like 5 minutes.

This was drawn for Ralphie's birthday back in June.

10 minute Firebreath doodle before going to bed.
These were doodles I did during the Ultimate Gaming Weekends.

A quick lineless test of Amelia.

Sketch of Zandra earlier on in the summer.

Summer Sketches

Every so often, I got the chance to sketch in my sketchbook this summer. It wasn't often because of how busy I was, but I did get a few pages in!
Sometimes I only had time to doodle one drawing a day, so these are like 3 days worth.

Sketches that I took a bit more time on.

I drew these while I was waiting for kids to go to bed one night.

A quick 2 minute doodle before bed.

I think these were drawn after I had a rough day.

Referencing my new hat.

I heard a kid scream "I love showering!" down the hallway, and it inspired me to sketch this.

Sarah doodles.

Tried drawing some different poses here.

Some of the first doodles of the summer.

I'm Baaaaaaaacck!!

It has been a long and exciting summer, and there is lots and lots of stuff that happened. But to sum it up shortly, it was probably one of the best summers I've ever had. Regardless of the fact that I had 3 days off of work total the entire summer. Overall I met some really amazing people and learned a lot and just overall really enjoyed my job this summer. Since I was a lead instructor this year at iD Tech UCLA, it was very busy and it required a lot more work and dedication than being a returning instructor at a smaller and more contained location. But that was part of what made it all so much more enjoyable.

But now let me share with you some of the life drawings that I did this summer. This might help sum up some of the cool stuff that I did, since I drew sometimes when I went places!

 Some more Koala T doodles!

And these are more doodles of the kids during Smash Bros nights!

And this was the end of my time in California, at the LAX Airport.

And when I got back to Ohio, I went to Steak n Shake and did these doodles.
Since I'm back at my home studio, this also means I'll actually be posting here again. And it also means more digital art will be on its way. I'm sad to be away from my new friends, summer job, and everything else that happened this summer, but I also needed a break from the long hours and physical activity. I'm happy to be back with my cintiq, and I'm already pretty motivated to start working on projects again!
