Photography Paintings

This was a really fun new part of the Mr Marcus World event (version 3.0)! We went to a random spot in our house, took a photo, and then drew a character within that scene.

This one is of Snull in the stove. I added some fire/heat effects for fun, too.

Another one from the Mr Marcus (Version 3.0) event! This one is of Cimc in the bathroom, and he forgot to draw his clothes other than his scarf.

Final Fantasy XV Release Date!

Last night I watched the FFXV Uncovered event, and I've got to say, I'm super excited. It's been announced to come out September 30th of 2016! I've been waiting since 2006. Ten years. Almost half of my life. So basically my entire life as an artist (since 2006 is when I started to consider art as a career). I was anticipating this game the year that I made my deviantART account. So that's a long time ago.

But anyway, I made a speed painting of Noctis and Luna to celebrate this event!

And then more cleaned up lines and a base color.

Zandra Painting

I haven't done a digital painting in awhile, so I decided to do a little test with Zandra. I was going for a more realistic style since my stuff is usually on the cartoony side.

The finished version!

I started by blocking in colors.

Added in the darks and a few different tones.

Then I blocked in the hair a lot more and started working on the eye.

The hair was finished after adding in some strand details. Then I got the eye mostly blocked in.

And then continued working on the skin details and finishing the eyes.

Inside of Scott's Mind

I've been figuring out what it looks like inside of all of my characters' minds. This one was a little quicker and more of a speedpaint, but it helped get some ideas out there.

Here's what it looks like inside of Scott's mind.

I started out with the thumbnails.

 Then the quick sketch.

 I put tones beneath it.

Then I threw in some quick colors.

 I rendered it out more.

And then I added some effects.

Winter Break's End

Well yesterday was the last day of winter break. Classes officially start today! Now that the semester's starting, I can't promise daily blog posts. I will at least post once a week, hopefully even more often than that.

Back at CCAD

So yesterday pretty much all of us got back to CCAD. It was a fun day and we got to all hang out again after the long break. I didn't end up doing too much art overall because of it, though.

Portrait for today (gave me a lot of troubles).

Process for it.

And some sketches.

Finished Sketchbook!

I finally finished a sketchbook I've been working on for awhile now.

Progress of it.

Some re-design ideas for Mr Dude and Kali.

And I decided to draw a bunch of my old characters, figuring out some design ideas.

Small Post

Didn't work on much art, but I was able to do a little bit of life drawing after awhile, since I went out to lunch with my brother.

Some sketches I did at Noodles & Company with my brother.

Short Pause

Since it's one of the last days of break, I took this day as a break to play games with my brother. Not too much art from me for today.

I drew Espurr for a Pokemon Collab on DA.

Fun with Characters

Break's coming close to an end, so I'm hoping to do a lot more art. It's been a little slow since I've been spending the majority of my time working on my stories and developing those a lot farther.

My entry for the Weeklies Challenge this time around. I was experimenting with a slightly different style than usual.

And I included the sketch and the value study.

Portrait for today. I tried using Photoshop again... but I forgot to up the file resolution, so it's incredibly tiny. Oops!

Process for it.

Some concepts for Fridge and Burger, two old characters.

And this is an initial concept for Rocko's Imaginary Friend.
