RPG Maker Games

I've been working on RPG Maker games during my weekends for fun recently. These have been fun weekend projects overall!

I figured out the functionality on the programming side and have been working on the interface/art for one that is supposed to be a psychiatrist simulator.

I've been making progress on my custom Turn-Based battle system for one of my games! The art is still super rough, but I've been working on getting the gameplay mechanics functioning in RPG Maker.

The Revenge of Gert

I decided to make this short video on a Sunday afternoon. One of my first RPG Maker 2003 games was about a bad guy named Gert, so I randomly decided to bring that name back for this short "movie trailer" that I came up with. The quotes are from various video game screenshots I took.

Gen 8 Doodles

With lots of Pokemon news and the game coming out later this year, I did some doodles related to gen 8!

I figured I would doodle some Gen 8 starter evolution predictions before it's too late. I'm guessing they're gonna be class-themed to go along with the Sword/Shield fantasy theme.

There was a lot of cool stuff in the Pokemon announcement trailer, and I'm pretty excited that they're bringing back new region-exclusive forms. Galarian Linoone looks pretty cool.

More NADs: Poproy and Handew

Some more NAD drawings that I've had time to do on weekends in the summer!

Poproy is a very well-known hero in Somi who always fends off against attackers. He is very powerful, but is defeated by Ducklin, in order to save his beloved son Piko. He is very close with his wife Siubo and his son Piko, so the family would often train together and grow stronger as a family. Poproy trained under Wes, a well-known legend in PS World, which explains where his immense strength came from. Though, because of Poproy's strength, his village is often in danger of challengers wanting to face him. He's very humble and doesn't like to show off his strength, but when his family and fellow villagers are in danger, he doesn't hesitate to show his true power.

Handew is a polite and studious young boy who always asks questions for clarification. He's not very good with technology and usually runs into technical difficulties whenever using computers. Handew is often a bystander and follows along with the group. He's one of Waga's wings, so he's constantly asking him questions, though he wouldn't dare talk back or talk out of turn when around him. Handew is a very obedient kid and it often weighs down on his self-confidence level due to never standing up for himself.

Lots of Pencil Sketches

I was trying to finish up my sketchbook last month, so I did a bunch of pencil sketches!

Mr Dude's House Floor Plan & Illustration

Mr Dude's house is basically his own private World Leader Headquarters while Ginko and the White Cloaks rule his World. This is where he sleeps and does all of his timeline research. It's also the area where The Nays visit when they're in this World.

I did this floor plan for this month's Improvement Movement!

And then I drew a view of the inside of Mr Dude's house, based on the above floor plan. I wanted to focus on the Timeline wall, since that's what he's most known for. This is one of the most important parts of his house that he focuses on and references every day of work.

First 2019 Life Drawings

I finally got around to scanning my sketchbook a week or so ago. So these are some of the life drawings I've done this year so far!

This was at a raffle that we went to after the drive yourself tour around the Amish country.

I've been on a few flights, so these were done at the airport.

I went to Olive Garden at the beginning of the year for my mom's birthday and did these doodles back then.

Dark Thunder Vs. Jaboo (Part 2)

Jaboo and Dark Thunder love to fight, but as they get older, they begin to appreciate taking out their battles in fighting games instead of real life.

Digital Doodles - Zandra & Grant

Some recent sketches I've done digitally.

I've been traveling a lot recently, so I haven't had a lot of time to draw. But now that I'll mostly be in one place for at least a month, I decided to take a break to sketch digitally.

When you have Spectrum internet, you start to get used to seeing the "There is no internet connection" dinosaur in Chrome every 15 minutes. So it inspired me to doodle Grant today.

Clove's Poses

This month's Improvement Movement challenge was to draw a character in a bunch of different poses, so I chose Clove! I also wanted to draw her in costumes that she wears throughout the series.

Clove Meets Ralphie

On one of my days off, I took the opportunity to spend some time on an illustration, since I've been meaning to do more of those!

Clove finally meets her brother Ralphie in her dreams. I wrote this Eventure the other day, so I wanted to do a little illustration of one of the scenes. Also played around a bit with lighting in this one.
