End of Summer

So Summer's officially over and today starts my first day of classes for my Junior year at CCAD. Last night was a great last night of summer and today's been a really good day with classes, too. I'm excited to start up this semester since I had a lot of really cool classes and some great instructors so far.

Today is my parents' 26th Anniversary! So we're going to be celebrating for the day. I was fairly busy yesterday and will be for the next few days, so my posts won't be too big.

Trip to Put-in Bay!

Yesterday my family and I took a ferry to Put-in Bay and spent the whole day there. It was a lot of fun, and the first time I rode a ferry in over 10 years. Also it was my first time riding in a golf kart, so that was interesting. The day was really fun, but I'm pretty worn out. Now my time will be spent packing up and getting ready to move back to CCAD!

Trip to the Zoo!

Yesterday I went to the zoo with my brother and my mom. It was a lot of fun, but lots of walking. We also got some pretty good food afterwards, involving Friendly's Ice Cream for dessert. It was a really eventful day, and I know the rest of the week will be just as busy.

A piece I started awhile ago. I stopped working on it when I got sick, and finally had some time to finish it up last night.

Milkshakes are the Cure

Got to get some milkshakes from Steak n Shake before the end of the summer! And, no lie, the milkshakes actually made my sickness feel a bit better. I also watched this year's Survivor DVD with my mom and brother.

Mini-Sketch Book Ending Soon

I just realized today that I only have about two more pages in my mini-sketch book that I've called my Sketch Journal. I have another mini-sketch book that is slightly bigger, so I'm going to be transferring to that one in a few days. Slowly building my way up to draw bigger again.

Nays Randomizer

So I drew a little bit of an old project I started back in 2009 called The Nays Randomizer. It's a project that my brother and I have done where we draw each other's characters with various prompts. So when my brother finally wanted to draw, I jumped on the opportunity. Plus I've begun to realize that drawing is actually making my sickness feel better somehow. Trying to fit in all of those final illustrations before school starts; just like every summer's end.

Fighting the Battle

Fighting against this sickness, that is... Still feel pretty sick right when I wake up and before I go to bed, but the sickness is at least not as terrible during the day. I might finally be able to start being productive again soon. Just in time to go back to college.

Decided to re-design an old character: Brutus. My brother's thinking about using him in an animation, so I decided I'd draw a better reference for him to use of him.

Sickness Gets Worse

Yesterday my sickness got a whole lot worse, right when I thought it was getting better. The fatigue part is over, so at least it's not as painful to draw for limited amounts a day. Although, it's making it hard for me to sleep.

This Sickness Never Ends

There have been so many points where I think it's over, and then it just gets worse. Luckily I've got the idea now to do my drawing right after I take a shower, since that's when I feel the best. But literally the past few days, I haven't had the strength to do much of anything, so I've only been able to spend my time watching anime and playing the Pokemon Trading Card Game Online. Can't wait to get over this so I can feel productive again.

And the Sickness Continues...

More of being sick all day. My whole family's pretty sick now so we had to re-schedule some plans we had for this week. I'm slowly overcoming the muscle weakness part of the sickness, so at least I am becoming a little more capable of drawing, at least compared to the past two days... or so I thought. This sickness goes on and off of feeling better and worse, so I really never know what to expect.

Sick...

Got a really bad sickness; I think it may be some form of the flu. Considering I barely have the strength to pick up a pencil, don't expect much art from me until I'm better. I'll try to keep up the daily Pokemon and sketch journal, but I'll be skipping around to the simplest Pokemon, instead of going numerically.

Finished Oliver & Company

So I finished Oliver & Company today. But unfortunately, I am starting to get sick. It's a pretty bad sickness that's really slowing me down in my art. Like I wasn't having a hard enough time finishing up art before the end of the summer, huh?
