Carassauga Festival

Back in May, I took a trip to Mississauga with my family for a cultural festival, with tons of good food! While I was there, I had the chance to sit down and do some sketches in the different tents.

Back from Canada!

My family went on a short two-day trip to Canada, and now I'm back! After a super busy summer, I'm finally (for now) staying in one spot for a longer time, to work on some stuff and focus on projects once again. It was a nice little vacation, but I'm excited to get back to work!

Since it was Firebreath and Noseid's birthday yesterday...

Back from Canada!

I had a really great time in Canada, and I was able to do lots of drawing in my sketchbook while I was there! I ended up filling up 22 pages in my main sketchbook, and 6 pages in my mini-on-the-go sketchbook. Additionally, aside from all of the drawings you'll see in this post, I also drew daily characters that I will be posting throughout the week. 

These were all of the character sketches I did in the car rides.

Lots of life drawings from in the car, when we rode through the cities. They're labeled on the actual pages, but the places I was able to sketch at were: Windsor, London, St. Thomas, Mississauga, and Toronto. On the way back, in Ohio I also sketched when we went through Ashtabula and Geneva.

 

And these were the sketches done in my mini-on-the-go sketchbook. The first page is from a mall we stopped at in Kitchener, and then on the bus in Mississauga. 

Back from Canada!

I'm back from my family trip to Canada! It was a really fun weekend and we ended up doing a bunch of cool stuff. Other than relaxing and just hanging out with my family, I also got in a bunch of sketches! Most of these were done in the hotel room or in the car rides.

I decided to re-design Jennie Hamilton, one of my characters, since I WAS in Hamilton in Canada.

 
These are a bunch of environment studies that I did, most of which were done in the car ride. I did a few in the hotel as well. Unfortunately I only brought a few colored pencils with me, so I was pretty limited on colors I could use.

 I did some gestures while in the car of people in the city. A few of these are also of my family from either in the car or the hotel room. The last ones in pen include some environment studies I did in the car too.

Some little doodles that didn't come out the best. A marker doodle of the fireplace in our hotel and then some fanart and random doodles I did after coming back from Anime North.
