Here are some things that I've drawn for other people recently.

This was for my friend Jinny since she drew my character!

So my regional manger set out a drawing challenge and I couldn't resist participating. I think I may have gotten a little carried away though.

Productive Day!

Yesterday I spent a lot of the day fixing up storyboards. And most of all, I actually felt productive pretty much ALL day. It made me feel a lot better to get so much done.

I finally had a chance to try out Manga Studio 5, and it's pretty cool! I really like the different brush choices; they give pretty nice lines. Also, the coloring brushes were really nice to use too. I may have to use it more often now.

I finished watching Aladdin yesterday, so these are the last of the Gestures. Today I'm planning on starting my favorite movie of all time: Oliver & Company.

Codingggg

Yesterday was mostly coding and taking a small break from art, since I've been storyboarding all week. Over the past few days really, I have been learning all kinds of coding. It started out as a lot of fun, but now the confusing parts are coming in, so it's a bit more of a challenge. But none-the-less, I'm still determined to learn more. And then I started working on some stuff for the animated short I'm working on with my friends (I even got to use some coding there, so that was fun).

My next few days are going to have pretty small updates. I've been really busy working on storyboards for one of the animated shorts that I'm a part of, so until those are done, don't expect too much extra art.

Recovery Day

Yesterday wasn't much of an art day for me. I ended up mostly recovering from some personal things that have been going on in my life and taking a little break. I did some color scripts for the short I'm working on, but other than that, I didn't get any time to really do much else. One of the problems was that I used up all of my drawing energy early in the day, so I ran out of energy by my productive time of night.

Sketching Traditionally Again

Yesterday was kind of rough for me, but I managed to get this much done. I decided to try to get back into traditional art, since it's been forever since I touched my sketch book! I looked back and it's been about three weeks since I last sketched in it. I need to start making a habit out of it again since I've gotten a bit out of practice.

I did some more sketches of The Nays to cheer myself up again. It also worked as a warm-up for the storyboards I worked on last night.

Finally got back to doing some Aladdin gestures.

Some quick concept idea sketches for the main girl of Project Deanster. Obviously none of these are even close to final, I was just sketching.

Quicklings!

Yesterday was a lot of focusing on trying to get faster at drawing, while maintaining some decent quality. Basically I'm preparing for the storyboards that I will be working on for a project. I've started a few already, but I definitely need to hone my skills some more so they can be the best result I can do!

I was feeling kind of down, so I decided to cheer myself up by drawing some little sketches of The Nays. These were all done in 8-16 minute time-spans.

Break Day

Yesterday I decided to finally take a break. I still did my daily art, but I took a break from doing anything extra really, especially during the night. Since I haven't given myself many breaks, I decided to just take the whole night off pretty much to recover... and FINALLY giving myself time to just sit down and play a video game for like 3 hours or so. I started up a new save file in Final Fantasy XIII, so we'll see how that goes.

Recovering Slowly

Yesterday was fairly busy and I was still pretty tired out and sore from Survivor, so it was hard to do a lot of finished art. Most of what I did though can't be posted up yet.

These were some thumbnail sketches I did for a digital piece I had planned. I'm not so sure if I will finish it in the future, since I am not too satisfied with the direction.

Sharpies are Fun

I ended up trying out drawing with sharpie markers yesterday, and it was actually a lot more fun than I thought it'd be. I've always enjoyed drawing in brush pen, so it makes sense that I would enjoy drawing with markers (it just so happens that my brush pen started running out of ink fairly quickly, so I couldn't use it as often as I would have liked to). But anyway, I did some environment thumbnail sketches yesterday that I'll upload some day.

Yesterday I did Rad's suggestion of doing gesture drawings from cartoons. I did a whole bunch (10 pages actually) from the first five minutes of Aladdin. At this rate, it'll take me quite awhile to finish the whole movie. Luckily I picked one of my favorite Disney movies and one that I've definitely watched one of the most times.
