Top 10 Games of 2017

It's finally done! I started this in 2017, but it took longer than I expected, so I finished it in 2018.

But these are my top 10 favorite games from 2017. There are still a few games I haven't tried yet that I really want to, but this is this list from what I have played. Overall it was a very good year for games. My top 4 of this year are probably ranked very high on my list of best games of all time, so that's saying something!

Challenges & Fanart

A few different things: a deviantART challenge with a background, and some fanart! I haven't done either of these in awhile.

 I did this as part of deviantART's "Take the Fan Art Mashup Challenge!" Since I got the challenge about "A Doge" I HAD to draw my character Doge who came before the meme. And it was a silly concept thinking about Doge with a keyblade. I mean he fights with nunchucks, but why not? Also I had to look up what Summoner's Rift was because I've only played League of League of Legends like 3 times in my life, haha.

Since I started playing DanganRonpa V3 the other night, I had to sketch my four favorites! I'm still on chapter 2, but I already know who I like best.

So every once in awhile I do this thing called take a break and sometimes draw fanart.

I ended up replaying Undertale a little while back and got the Pacifist Ending. It was definitely worth it. This was originally going to be a 10 minute sketch, but I got a little carried away.

Recent Sketches!

I've been sketching more in my free time to give myself a little break from major projects.

Since my brother started playing Dangan Ronpa, I just had to draw the cast!

Practice Sketches

So I squeezed in some time to do non-school art the past week or so. Mainly because I wanted to fill up a sketchbook, also because I wanted a break.

Free Time Drawings

The past few weeks have been super hectic because, senior year and thesis, and everything else that's been going on. So it's been hard to fit in free time (even my character a day project is hard, so above that is pretty much not happening). But somehow I fit in these two drawings for fun, so it really relieved a lot of stress. I wish I had time to do this more often.

I've been playing Dangan Ronpa 2 and Fuyuhiko is definitely my favorite. I got super attached after hearing more about his past and when his character development started happening. So here's a little doodle I did. I drew this when my Spring Break first started and all I wanted to do was sleep and play Dangan Ronpa 2. 

Here's a small gift I made for my best friend, Jinny Hinkle, since it was her birthday the other week. This is the main character of her thesis.

New Desktop Wallpaper

I ended up working on my Thesis script most of yesterday night, but here's the art I did in the meantime:

Elfin is an elf who loves to play with swords. He will enjoy just about anything that involves swords or sharp objects. He is also very obedient and polite. This boy is the Tonic's guard and will not let anyone enter his mansion without permission.

Also I put together a new desktop wallpaper using images from the game. I couldn't decide which color scheme I preferred, so I just saved out both.

T-Shirt Design and Project-in-Progress!

Yesterday I worked a lot on some quicker drawings. I put together some really quick drawings with line and color, but a little more developed than my usual sketches.

Archy is a very calm dog who does not bark very much. He is very obedient and loyal to Johnny, and will aid him in whatever way possible. This Bernese Mountain Dog is not very easy to communicate with, besides if he is "speaking" with Johnny whom he has grown up with.

Annd I continued working on a little project that my brother and I started the other day. These are just a few drawings from it. It will make more sense once it's done and I put together the full thing, but this is a sneak preview. I didn't spend much time on these at all, as you can probably tell.


.... Also just realized there's lots of black and red in this post for some reason. Weird because I don't usually use that color scheme too often (aside from the Demon World).

Art Trade!

Yesterday was a pretty busy day. Since my cousin is leaving for college this weekend, we had a little going away party  for her. So I spent most of the day hanging out with family. But in the meantime, here's what I did:

Arianna has a shy and closed-minded personality. She usually does not admit defeat and thinks that her values and decisions are always the right ones. Although, it is not common that she will actually speak these beliefs, since she is often too shy to do so. She has trouble taking responsibility for her actions and longs for unity in her life. Arianna does not talk very much at all because she is afraid of making a mistake she cannot fix. She also has very much trouble speaking with anyone that she does not know and will often cower away or avoid all contact with people whom she does not know. She is also often very nervous and feels the need to tell her friends.

I did an art trade with ComicMakerJoe, my friend from deviantART, and this was my part. This is his character, Betty.

And on another note... I ended up finishing Dangan Ronpa, which is sad because I'm gonna miss playing it. But the story was amazing and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone interested in mystery, great character development, interesting stories, suspense, crazy plot twists, or visual novels. It's one of the best new games I've tried in awhile, so it was a lot of fun. Anyway, this is Kirigiri, by far one of my favorite female characters out there, and in my top 2 favorite characters from Dangan Ronpa. So I did this little doodle of her.

Upupu…

As the title suggests, I've started up playing Dangan Ronpa again. Plus down below I did some sketches from it.

Ram is a lively girl who loves to have fun. She is often seen cheering or dancing around. Her attachment and liking to Tag World often sets her apart from the rest of The Nays, but she likes to stick around with Muyo. Her defining technique is her ability to call upon a herd of rams. With a simple blow of her horn, a large group of them come charging to her aid.

These are the Dangan Ronpa sketches I did last night. The character designs are really nice in the game, so I decided I'd try to draw the cast. Some of these I had more fun drawing than others and it was kind of obvious that I got tired by the end, haha.
