Nay Fanart Inspiration

Some recent Nay drawings that were inspired by anime or games!

I finished the anime of Muhyo & Roji's Bureau of Supernatural Investigation the other day, so I decided to draw Zandra in that style. I really like how unique their eyes were in the anime.

I decided to redraw The Nays in the style of a video game cover. I started with Persona 3 since it was a pretty simple one.

Digicember: Villager & Joker

These ones go together since until Joker's officially in the game, Ted plays as Villager. Willus will take his place as the S Nay Villager representative once Joker's released, though!

Top 10 Games of 2017

It's finally done! I started this in 2017, but it took longer than I expected, so I finished it in 2018.

But these are my top 10 favorite games from 2017. There are still a few games I haven't tried yet that I really want to, but this is this list from what I have played. Overall it was a very good year for games. My top 4 of this year are probably ranked very high on my list of best games of all time, so that's saying something!

And here's a quick process for a few of the images:

Persona 2: Eternal Punishment Sketches

I finally finished Persona 2: Innocent Sin last week, so I started Eternal Punishment right after. So far I'm enjoying it A LOT more in most aspects. The story is a lot more interesting and I love the variety in characters and just the whole feel of this game a lot more. There were also some great improvements with the battle system. As much as I'm enjoying it, overall it's a lot harder to play though. There isn't really a good way for me to play the game. I started the PS1 game (since it's the only translated version) and it's just too difficult. They upped the difficulty level a lot, so it means sitting in dungeons and grinding for hours, which is not how I enjoy playing games. And then unfortunately the PSP version was never translated, and I don't know Japanese. It sucks, because I would have enjoyed this game a lot more if I could play the PSP version in English. Oh well.

Persona 2 Sketches

I started a new save file in Persona 2 this week, and this time I'm determined to finally finish it. I've been really interested in what I've seen of Eternal Punishment so I gotta beat Innocent Sin first.

I beat Persona 5!

104 hours later...

I finally finished Persona 5 Thursday night!! It is easily in my top 3 favorite games (if not top 1 or 2).

In celebration of beating it, I decided to draw all of the characters! Well all of the ones I started a social link with at least. I put my favorite characters and characters that I maxed out closer towards the middle, and kind of arranged them outwards from there. Futaba is overall my favorite I think, but I really love Sojiro, Ryuji, and Makoto a lot too. The only ones I did NOT finish were Yusuke, Chihaya, Kawakami, Iwai, Shinaya, and Haru (though Haru was at rank 9). I'll have to play New Game+ at some point to finish those up.

And here's a drawing that I did for my friend Laura since it was her birthday earlier this week!

Recent Sketchings

When I'm not busy with things, I've had time to do some little extra doodles every now and then.

Ranking up with Akechi and learning more about him.

Sketching while talking with friends. I got a little carried away with the lines, but this was relaxing to do while I was talking.Sketching while talking with friends. I got a little carried away with the lines, but this was relaxing to do while I was talking.

Recent Digital Sketches

Here are some recent sketches from the past couple of days!

Whenever the computer would freeze, Elfno would immediately grab the mouse and start screaming as he rubbed the optical part to make light shine everywhere.

I really like Sae's design. She's a pretty cool character in general too. I'm also progressing farther in P5.

More Persona 5 Fanart!

I've been playing Persona 5 in my freetime and therefore drawing some fanart for it when I can.

Futaba's slowly growing on me, especially since I started her social link.

Haru on the other hand is probably my least favorite (other than Yusuke). She's okay, she just doesn't seem to be as interesting as the other characters.

Persona 5 Digital Doodles

My cintiq is back and working again!! So now I'm able to do digital art. There's still some getting used to since it's been awhile, but I'm looking forward to drawing more again. I'll probably try to get back in the habit of doing more starting this weekend, once I have a bit more free time.

Oh yeah and I've been playing P5 whenever I can, so I did some P5 doodles to test out my pen pressure and make sure everything was working.

P5 Sketches

Currently most of my free time has gone to playing Persona 5 since I've been waiting for that game for years, so I've been super excited to finally try it out.  In the meantime I did some sketchbook drawings.

I named the main character of Persona 5 after my character Scott, so sometimes I like to imagine he's saying some of these choices. It's funny because we're nothing alike, and a few of the choices I've chosen just because I thought it would sound funny with Scott saying them. But yeah this is Scott saying one of the first choices I made in the game.

And then these are some P5 character doodles that I did like 2 minutes before dinner the other day.

Every Day When You're Walking Down the Street...

So I decided to do a finalized digital illustration finally. It took me a long time, but I proved to myself that I'm still capable of doing digital illustrations for extended periods of time, so that was fun.

And.... it just so happens to be an Arthur and Persona 4 crossover! My brother and I made this discovery that the cast is surprisingly similar, so I just HAD to draw this.

Pokemon of the Day
(definitely NOT one of my favorite drawings)

And these were some drawings I did at Steak n Shake and Friendly's while waiting.

Relaxation

So I decided to dedicate the first week of my Summer Break to relaxing and recharging before actually heading straight into working on projects. I've still been drawing a little bit each day, but I haven't really worked on any projects yet. I've mostly been playing games and readjusting to life at home. Plus tomorrow my family heads out on our family vacation, so I won't be active online until next week. Of course I'll still be sketching every day, it may just not be public on the internet (depending on whether I have wifi or not).

First few sketches of my break, mostly just characters.

Mother's Day doodles of my characters and their moms.

Some various character sketches and some little requests from my brother. They're all my brother and I's characters besides the one on the left, who is from a game we've been playing this week.

Some more various character sketches done.

My friend and I started playing Persona 3 Portable so I sketched some of the characters.

Some Pokemon sketches I did of my Nuzlocke challenge before I headed home for summer.

Finishing Stuff

So I've actually been finishing my sketches more often by going over them digitally/coloring them digitally. I'm getting back into my old self where I actually did multiple digital arts in one week. Plus I've been spending more time on my pieces and not rushing them.

"Making Memories"
Persona 4 fanart that I've been working on since I beat the game on Friday.

"P4 Sketches"
These are a bunch of Persona 4, Sakevisual, and Chaos;Head sketches I did. I finalized one of the Persona 4 sketches as you can see above. I hope to finalize a Chaos;Head drawing sometime soon. I also finalized one of the Sakevisual ones below (the Kansei one).

"Powers to Relive the Murders"
Fanart of Sakevisual's Kansei, an indie visual novel game.

"Happier Days"
A cartoon version of myself.

"Sketches of Me"
These are just some quick cartoon sketches I did of myself. I finalized one of them into the picture above.

"Planet Timer Afterwards Finished Portraits"
These are some finished portraits for the game that I currently working on, Planet Timer Afterwards. So these are Ted, Gair, Weisube, and Muyo.

"Planet Timer Afterwards Portrait Sketches"
These are a bunch of sketches of portraits that I plan to go over digitally sometime soon. Some of them are finished as you can see above.
