Doodles from Work (February 10, 2020)

Here are some drawings I did for fun at work!

I kinda want to start spending more time on single drawings. This one took me a lot longer than my regular sketches and I used a much more painted technique, but it was a lot of fun and I'd like to do more of these!

This was a fun drawing I did of Warbler!

We drew penguins at work, because why not?

 

Evo is a character I've been using in some of my projects at work, so I kinda was thinking of redesigning or coming up with a more final design for future assets.

Concepting and Experimenting (February 5, 2020)

These were some fun little experiments I did recently.

I tried out a different coloring experiment during my lunch break today. Color is something I've always felt like I needed to work on, so more experimenting to come!

I made some concepts for what Pidgebeetle's training uniform for The Nays might look like. I wanted to make it more bird-like, and redid his symbol.

More Music Mania! (January 25, 2020)

I was kinda stressed one day so I did some Music Mania doodles and it helped!

Spy Snugs (January 15, 2020)

This was a Nay Event I did about a year or so ago. It had to do with browsing Twitch and drawing over screenshots/guessing what the other person chose. You can read the full rules here.

January Music Mania Sketches (January 11, 2020)

Here are a few recent Music Mania sketches that I did during in January!

Wow this was a productive Music Mania! I came up with a bunch of new ideas to fix up the Land of the Clouds Eventure AND I finally came up with an idea on how to use this character that I designed almost a year ago.

I did this one during my lunch break.

Warbler Vs. Melinda Storyboards (January 7, 2020)

So right now at work, I'm writing a 2D Animation course, which means I get to create lots of art! These are some storyboard sketches I did for some of the content I'm working on.

First Drawing of 2020 (January 2, 2020)

It's the first drawing of 2020 and the first drawing of this decade! And to keep up my tradition that was started at the end of 2 decades back, it features Cipo.

This past year I played a bunch of games, including Trails of Cold Steel. Cipo picked up the line they use in battle of "It's my turn!" and often says that whenever Nays are playing games so that they'll stop playing or move on. Though he never actually takes his turn, he still has enjoyed saying it for fun.

Fanart Doodles (September 25, 2019)

I beat Trails of Cold Steel last night, so I decided to doodle Rean during my lunch break today! The ending was really good and I'm already waiting for the second one to come in the mail so I can continue the story.

FF8 Composition Studies (September 3, 2019)

With FFVIII Remastered coming out today, I decided to do some composition studies based on some of the camera angles in Dollet's maps during my lunch break.

Firebreath's Exploration

This was the first full project that I coded from scratch in JavaScript! It's a short choose your own adventure game where you follow Firebreath, a self-proclaimed dragon, through various scenarios.

I created this as a present for my brother's birthday. The style was inspired by one of his favorite games, Famicom Detective Club (which the music also comes from).

This was a short project made for fun, so enjoy!

Nay Fanart Inspiration

Some recent Nay drawings that were inspired by anime or games!

I finished the anime of Muhyo & Roji's Bureau of Supernatural Investigation the other day, so I decided to draw Zandra in that style. I really like how unique their eyes were in the anime.

I decided to redraw The Nays in the style of a video game cover. I started with Persona 3 since it was a pretty simple one.

Movie Fanart Sketches

I saw Detective Pikachu awhile back and really enjoyed it! It's definitely my new favorite video game to live action movie adaptation. So here's Mr. Detective Pikachu himself for FanArt Friday!

I rewatched Code Geass to prepare for the new movie in May, and I'm remembering how good of a character Lelouch is!

FF7 Excitement!

After all of the FF7 Remake excitement, I made some fanart.

I decided to pick up my replay of FF7 after all of the FF7 Remake excitement, and I finally unlocked Yuffie.

In March, we might get to finally embrace our dreams and protect our honor as SOLDIER. Looking forward to finally getting to play FF7 in HD next year!

Emerald Dragon Fanart

So I recently played through this obscure SNES RPG called Emerald Dragon, and it's honestly up to par with some of my favorite SNES games.

This was one of my favorite scenes with Tamryn and Atrushan, so I made a fake screenshot of it. Definitely now in my top 5 favorite SNES games.

These are probably my top 3 favorite characters in it.

Gen 8 Drawings

Some recent Pokemon drawings I did after watching the Pokemon Direct! Perfect timing, considering E3 showed some cool stuff yesterday too.

I'm gonna have to wait to see the final evolutions, but right now I'm kinda leaning towards Scorbunny.

Corviknight was my favorite new Pokemon that they revealed at the Pokemon Direct earlier in the month.

Squaresoft Sketches

I've been playing some PS1 Squaresoft games recently.

I drew this for FF8's 20th anniversary in February.

So I beat Parasite Eve a while back and it was a really weird game. It somehow reminded me of a mix between FF7, FF8, and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, so I ended up mostly enjoying it. But Aya is a pretty cool character.

DBZ Drawings

Here are some DBZ-related drawings I've done in the past few months after the Broly movie came out. I always get in these DBZ moods for awhile.

I've been playing a lot of DB Xenoverse 2 recently and finally finished all of the Parallel Quests. Here are all of my characters I've recreated in the game, based on my characters from The Nays. All that's left is to make a Majin, but I haven't decided who I want that to be yet.

I watched the new Broly movie and my favorite part was everything to do with the Saiyans' past.

Old Forgotten Posts of 7 Years: Part 1

So I was looking through my Blogger drafts and realized there were a lot of blog posts I started, but never actually published. This goes as far back as February 2018! So I decided to shed light on some of those old drafts that never got published so I could clean out my drafts. Be ready for some old content that could be up to 7 years old! I'm breaking this out into a few posts so it can be by year essentially.

More Character Interactions! (January 8, 2019)

I've been enjoying drawing multiple characters interacting recently.

So this was what happened with Lonny and Topaz while they were playing video games in Shelter 128.

Nay Collabs (January 7, 2019)

I did a few collabs with my brother, where we drew our characters wearing clothes fitting for the background environments.

Inspirational Music Mania Drawings (September 14, 2018)

It's been awhile since I've just sat and listened to music for a long time while sketching.

One of the best ways to motivate me is to listen to inspirational music while sketching my characters.

So I blasted some of my favorite songs and just sketched my characters for an hour.

Pokemon Drawings (September 13, 2018)

I was gone for a few months, and when I come back, my parents are able to name off a bunch of the Pokemon that they know from Pokemon Go. 

So I sketched the next one in my on-going draw every Pokemon project!

Lists, lists, lists! (September 11, 2018)

I LOVE making lists of games I've played and ranking them in excel, but I decided to create a more visual version of one of those that I could share. This was really fun, so I'd love to do more of these in the future (and add to it whenever I play new games).

Comic (June 5, 2018)

Here's another comic page! I drew that first panel awhile ago back when I was still doing strips instead of pages, but I went ahead and drew the whole page now. Last time I worked on the comic, I also roughed out the whole first chapter, so it was much easier to draw this page with a layout already in place. And Zandra and JrTr have finally been officially introduced as of this page!

Art Trades (May 3, 2018)

It's been 3 years since I did an art trade, so I decided to change that and participate in one over on deviantART! This is DoodlerBee's OC, Raven. You can read up more on their character here.

Nays Clothes Chambers (April 9, 2018)

This was a fun project that was based on an old one. We would pair The Nays up randomly and they had to draw themselves wearing the clothes of another Nay. I also used a brush that had more of a traditional feel to it, since we used to always do this original project on paper.

This was round 1 of the first four!

Yu Yugi Chan King Z - Continued! (March 11, 2018)

Recently I decided to continue the Revival of Yu Yugi Chan King Z project, so I did some more drawings!

So this was part of the Revival of Yu Yugi Chan King Z project that we started with The Nays a few months back. For this activity, Rabiah had to join an IRC server and ask for a request/pose that Satsuto would be in (since he was the character assigned from Scott). Shout out to the people of #BDI*OOC on DarkMyst for coming up with this idea to have him washing dishes with an apron on over his ninja gear! This was a fun little activity and went a lot more smoothly than I was expecting!

Pixel Art (February 7, 2018)
