Pubby and Chila Doodles

These are some recent doodles I've done!

March marked my 2 year anniversary of first using Discord! I can't imagine how I'd keep in touch and talk to friends without it, so I hope it never dies out randomly one day (...like MediaDriven did back in the day)

7 years go by in The Nays (as of now), so we were thinking about how The Nays need to look very different from the beginning to the end and/or current times of The Nays. So here I drew Chila at 6-years-old and Chila at 13-years-old.

Spoon Bath Sketches!

Some recent sketches related to the Spoon Bath Eventure!

Urom deep in thought by the fire after Ted asks her why she wants to take the Spoon Bath so badly.

Vhan is one of my hardest characters to draw, but she was the first one that came to mind. This is what she did to JrTr during the Spoon Bath Eventure.

Dr Buh's Fools - Anime Screenshot Project

This is a new project where I would watch a random episode of an anime I've never heard of starting with the same letter as a Nay and try to draw something inspired/based on what I see in the time limit of the episode. I tried to draw in the style of the anime as best I could as well, but sometimes there wasn't enough time to have an accurate representation. But I also tried to make them look kinda like screenshots. This project was called "Dr Buh's Fools" in reference to when Professor Braves used to let The Nays watch new anime from the Lakewood Library (and today's April Fool's, so it was fitting).

Clove watched Canaan, which had an interesting setting for things happening since it was all taking place on a train. I feel like some of the concepts and characters were interesting in theory, but how it was presented felt too generic.

Ralphie watched Re: Hamatora, which was probably the best one so far. It had an interesting concept and lots of action. This is one I might actually try again and pay full attention to. This was my favorite drawing of how it came out in the end as well, but then again I think it's the one that strayed from the initial style most.

Gair watched Gamers!, which was just some generic slice of life romance anime. I liked the video game references, but the story felt kinda boring. The opening was the best part though. Oh and on a side note, I drew the mouth normally and then realized in this anime, they have mouths on the side of their faces so I had to redraw that part to fit with the style.

Arianna watched Absolute Duo, where I didn't really understand what was happening. I just know they were looking for someone. Oh yeah and Photoshop crashed in the middle of this one, but luckily I saved.

The first one was Spicco watching Selector Infected WIXOSS9. It was some card game anime and the themes were kinda weird.

Text Tells a Story

I love including text bubbles in my drawings to showcase some of my stories through imagery! Here are a few recent examples of this.

The Nays come to the realization that they had all been getting tired of Tag World once they arrive in PS World for the first time. These three were also pretty close friends at that point (Spicco, Kicky, and Scott).

After D.Munn heals a bad guy, Shaw calls him evil and his entire perspective changes.

Selfie Concept Sunday!

When Zandra and Yaguzi are released from the Rectory of Reform, Cipo holds an M Nays Reunion Party in hopes to welcome them back into the group. Amelia excitedly takes a selfie with them because it's a big event. They're not exactly expecting it and are caught by surprise.

Here's the final drawing that I did!

And this is a gif to showcase the process. I ended up putting a bunch of filters on it because I was hoping to get an "Instagram filter" effect through Photoshop. I'm not going to go into the details, but you can check out the gif to see what I added.

And then this was the drawing BEFORE adding all of the filters.

End of the 47 Days of Positivity

Here are the last two drawings for my positivity project that I finished at the start of April! It was a really fun project, so I hope you enjoyed seeing it progress, too.

Easter marks the end of my 47 Days of Positivity Project! I hope it was helpful to someone out there, but even if it wasn't, I still had a lot of fun with it. Ever since I can remember, helping people had been something that I loved doing, but not always in the most conventional ways. In high school, I found out volunteer work wasn't really my thing, when we were required to do a certain number of service hours, but I still enjoyed helping my classmates understand math problems in Algebra class. It wasn't until I started working on group projects in college or teaching at camp that I realized that's the kind of thing that makes me happy. Being part of a team and teaching people, or lending my knowledge to help better a project. And I’ve loved learning things that I’m interested in, so I can teach even more! But anyway, this project has been kind of a self-reflection, so... Thanks for listening! It means a lot.

“Late night deep conversations. Spilling out your life problems, and helping each other out.”

Amelia & Skine - Positivity

Some more positivity drawings!

“Work on whatever makes you happy. Even if you’re not sharing it with the whole world or getting rich off of it, if it’s something you’re passionate about, it’ll help you stay inspired.”

“When you try to force your opinions on people, they’re usually less likely to believe or respect you. Let people live their own lives.”

Rasake & Mar Positivity

Some purply pink color schemed characters for the positivity project!

“It’s not always the first idea that’s the best one, so keep thinking. But sometimes it is the first idea, so don’t throw it away entirely just in case.”

“Find the courage to hang out with the people you care about. The thoughts holding you back at home probably aren’t true.”

Xing & Kicky Positivity

Some more from my positivity project!

“Try and think things through for yourself before immediately looking up the answers. You’ll be surprised how much you remember sometimes.”

“It might be for the best to put aside your insecurities in some cases. Joining the conversation probably isn’t as scary as your mind’s telling you that it is.”

Gostream & Doge Positivity

More from my positivity project! Still a little behind on posting them here, since I finished the project a while back.

“What’s so hard about accepting other people? Doesn’t it feel great to be accepted by others?”

"If you want someone to improve, tell them what worked well, then talk about where the room for improvement lies."

Snull & Ralphie Positivity

Some more from my positivity project!

“Think about at least one time when you felt good about an interaction with another person. That moment or time in your life means that at least someone out there cares. And that means you matter."

“Being surrounded by people is a lot of fun, but it’s always those one-on-one moments that are most meaningful.”

Amber & Sarah Positivity

I was experimenting with different skin colors on these two, and I kind of like how they came out.I might've made Amber a little too dark for a tan, but oh well!

“If you tell someone it makes you uncomfortable, and they keep doing it, then there’s a problem.”

“You’re allowed to cry if you need to. It doesn’t mean you’re weak, it’s just something everyone does.”

Johnny & Pubby Positivity

I've drawn both of them for multiple prompts, but I guess they were just more applicable to them.

“Even if it takes a long time, don’t lose inspiration. Accept that it won’t be here immediately, and just live in the moment.”

“Everything isn’t always okay. It’s normal to have days where the world’s on fire. As long as you can pick yourself back up and become stronger from those moments.”

Grenna & Jibu Positivity

I've drawn these two for prompts on this project before, but I guess more of these just apply to them.

“It’s hard to think that anyone looks up to us, but how many people do we look up to? They might not actually say it, even if they secretly mean it.”

“It’s that person that includes you and talks to you like you belong. Not the one who tries to prove that they’re better by saying things like “wow, you sure are quiet.”

Arianna & Kali Positivity

Some more recent positivity drawings!

“If you spend your whole life worrying about what might happen, you won't have time to enjoy the things that are actually happening.”

“Even if you don’t realize it, you might be improving as a person if you think back to how you wish you could have made things better. It’s not useless to think this, since it only proves further that you can make future situations better than your old self could have.”

Refinto & Johnny Positivity

Some more characters from my daily challenge! Both of these were slightly new designs (or clothes in Johnny's case) that I haven't drawn much.

“There are those people that you just wish you would’ve interacted with more while you were living or working at the same place. It’s not until afterward that you realize how much you could have gotten to know them better.”

“You probably don’t know how they feel. So just be there for them and listen.”
