Pink Characters

I guess this week was pink/purple character week.

Chila is a very unintelligent girl who loves her older brother Ronny. She is entertained very easily and loves living in the dump. She is amused by playing with garbage and eating crackers. Although her intelligence level is quite low, she is still a very polite girl.

Andrea is a woman that was turned into a chair by The Mother Who Talks Like This. Though she was transformed into a chair, she still has the power to fly around. She is very close friends with Nifitann, and will almost always be at her side. She allows for Nifitann to ride on her, and the two work very well together as a team. Andrea is very polite, but does not talk very much.

Sketchings

I've been doodling in my sketchbook more. Whenever I wanna quickly design a character, I feel like my sketchbook's been a lot faster and more efficient than spending time on a finished digital piece.

These are some sketches I did of some new side characters.

And this is a little sketch I did of part of the most recent Eventure I wrote. Darkitu is trying to explode Ginko's Sanctuary.

Various Characters

The recent two characters were characters who were nearly forgotten. Although, now Sally Bullrider is returning in the most recent Eventure and actually playing a more main role.

Mahogany is a very kind, lonely woman, who loves treating guests to her house. She comes from a World in which people age backwards, so even though she looks to be in her late teens to early 20s, she is actually very old and has a son. Her husband is a "Space Man" who travels to different worlds, so that leaves her alone to take care of her son fairly often.

Sally Bullrider is the owner of the Bullride Badlands, who leads the Hairy Buffaloes. She's very confident in her abilities and will only help others if she is gaining something from the cause. She is very powerful, though she does not use her powers to benefit anyone other than herself.

Costume Variations + Sketchbook Fun

Been trying to get back into drawing more than just my daily character drawings.

This is part of an old project I decided to get back into doing. It was to draw all of The Nays with all of their different clothes. These are obviously just quick sketches just to show the various costumes as references. Scott is one of my six main characters. He actually didn't have too many different costumes, so I added a few and changed some of the existing ones. For the most part I wanted to keep his color scheme yellow and blue. This was pretty fun to do though, since I haven't done one of these in awhile. Plus it was interesting to re-design some of Scott's costumes.

Here are some sketches I did after an Eventure where Pubby left Lonny to go back with his friends.

Here's a quick page of life drawings I did in the mall.

First and Last Nays of the Year

Continuing along with my Character-A-Day Project! This here is the last one of 2014 and the first one of 2015.

IGirl is a very excited orphan who loves playing with dolls. She spaces out very easily and is not very aware of her surroundings. IGirl loves to be around her group of friends and likes to start conversations according to her interests. She is a bit slow, but is overall very happy and fun to be around.

Malik is the creator of The Worlds, who watches over all of them. He is very omniscient and knowledgeable. Malik is a very calm-minded man who is very understanding, yet controlling. His close watch over The Nays has helped him to gradually grow as their companion as well as guardian. He does not interact with the lower class very often, but is usually acquainted with the highest officials of The Worlds. He resides in the Timeless Abyss, the very first World within The Worlds.

Happy 2015!

Going with my usual tradition, I drew an illustration of Cipo's story for my first piece in 2015. This one is after the incident where Milada is scared and attacks Anya.

Here's the final illustration!

These are some thumbnail sketches I did beforehand!

2014 Recap

2014 has been a surprisingly really good year for me. I've been accomplishing a lot more things than I did in my previous years, and have really been experimenting a lot more and taking more risks. I've slowly been gaining more confidence because of these risks I've taken and decisions I've made, so overall things have been moving in a positive direction for me. Honestly, I think it's safe to say that 2014 was the best year I've had so far (both artistically and life experiences in general).

Summary of 2014! It was hard to choose just one from each month, haha.

This summary of the years is always fun to look at a visual representation of my improvement.

I look forward to what 2015 brings for me!
Half of it is still completely unknown, since I don't know where I'll be or what I'll be doing, but I'm excited (and a little scared) for what is to come.

I've been trying to draw as much as I can, and my New Years resolution is to basically keep drawing and try to draw even more than I have been, and improve even more than I have. Also another little New Years resolution for myself is to surround myself with more positivity, since I noticed that's been improving my performance a lot more when I do.

I hope 2015 can be as good of a year as 2014 was (or even better!)
