2.28.14 - Arnold Sports Festival Class Session
So this week we went to the Arnold Sports Festival for class. It was fairly crowded and a little hard to find places to sit. I went to see the fencing and gymnastics for the majority of the time. It's always a lot of fun to see extremely talented young kids.

Composition Studies
I've been doing some of my free time sketches during an LA class, since I found out it actually helps me focus a lot better.
Sketching my character, Cimc.
In one of my classes, we watched the film Tomorrow, so I drew some composition studies as well as a few gestures.

Sketching Time
I've mostly been doing sketches this week. It's been a busy time and classwork is starting to pick up.
This is my entry for the Weeklies Scribble Challenge this time around!
This was a really quick 10-20 minute doodle I did. I saw this girl at church earlier today and I thought she'd be funny to draw. She was sitting there with a pouty serious face, crossing her arms, then she just proceeded to pick her nose. Kids are weird.

Some animal gestures I did for practice.

Finishing up Initial Character Concepts
This week I finished up some of the initial character designs for my gap project. Now it's time to start applying the feedback I've been receiving, and really finalize some of these designs.
Some more ideas for Natalie. I feel that I am heading in the right direction now.
Some concepts for Deanster. His design is well on its way to completion.

2.21.14 - North Market Class Session
This week we had an in-class nude model for the first half of class, and then went to the North Market for the second half. We ended up doing more detailed figures and writing what we found interesting about each of them. So that was a lot of fun! It might have been one of my favorite classes so far.
The in-class model drawings.
And my sketches at North Market.

Snull and Ralphie: More Sketches!
I ended up doing some finished drawings for my character, Ralphie, since I was stuck between whether to sculpt him or Snull. I ended up deciding to go with Snull and use her for my sculpt. I'm thinking about sculpting Ralphie at some point in my free time later though.
An old family photo of the Ragger family.
Ralphie & Scott: age 8.
Character Pages for Ralphie.
An extra pages of sketches that I did for Snull.
Some gestures of the pose I'm thinking about using for my posed sculpt of Snull.
I did some revisions for Snull based off of some of the feedback I received.
Sketch of Snull when she was a part of the Death Association.
And this was a little concept sketch for the Demon World.
