Less Than a Month

So I realized there is less than a month now until I get to go back to CCAD this semester. Time to start counting down the days! In the meantime I've been working on color scripts.

Happy Waldameer Day!

So yesterday I went to Waldameer, an amusement park in Pennsylvania, with my family. It's a yearly tradition where we go in late July-early August. So that was a lot of fun. This post is short because I was so exhausted and it was hard to do art after an 8-hour day at the park.

My Own Time!

I feel like it's been awhile since I got to work on my own projects. I've been so busy with everything else recently. But finally some more Project Deanster stuff!

I was playing around with some more silhouettes for the main character of Project Deanster. I ended up really liking the idea of him having a hat, so a lot of these show that. As I went on, I tried to play with the shapes and really push what I had even further. I plan on doing more of these in the near future (especially doing some for the main girl as well).

Oliver, Don't Be Scared!

I spent a whole lot of time trying to get a computer to work with Linux, but I was having some difficulties finding one that would actually turn on, so I decided I'd post-pone the project to a different day. I worked some more on stuff for the animated short I am working on with my friends during the night, so that was fun.

Yesterday I started watching my favorite movie of all time: Oliver & Company. I only got through the first song, so Oliver's the only one I've had a chance to draw so far. It was taking me awhile to really figure out how to draw him.

Productive Day!

Yesterday I spent a lot of the day fixing up storyboards. And most of all, I actually felt productive pretty much ALL day. It made me feel a lot better to get so much done.

I finally had a chance to try out Manga Studio 5, and it's pretty cool! I really like the different brush choices; they give pretty nice lines. Also, the coloring brushes were really nice to use too. I may have to use it more often now.

I finished watching Aladdin yesterday, so these are the last of the Gestures. Today I'm planning on starting my favorite movie of all time: Oliver & Company.

Hectic Day

Well yesterday was crazy busy. The daytime included helping my dad outside and doing some stuff for my blog (updated the Follow Me tab and later updated the navigation bar, still working on that). And then a lot of the night was pitching my storyboards for a group project, so that was a great experience. Unfortunately I did not draw nearly a much as I wanted to yesterday, but I'll be busy working on stuff soon enough!

Codingggg

Yesterday was mostly coding and taking a small break from art, since I've been storyboarding all week. Over the past few days really, I have been learning all kinds of coding. It started out as a lot of fun, but now the confusing parts are coming in, so it's a bit more of a challenge. But none-the-less, I'm still determined to learn more. And then I started working on some stuff for the animated short I'm working on with my friends (I even got to use some coding there, so that was fun).

So yesterday was not the best starting off (to say the least). I found out there were a lot of conflicts and problems going on with my schedule for this fall's semester, so I had to spend all afternoon stressing about that and fixing things. From the sound of it, I think it's all going to work out now, so I've just got to keep my hopes up! That's my excuse for the small update though (plus the free time I did have I spent on coding).
