Every Day When You're Walking Down the Street...

So I decided to do a finalized digital illustration finally. It took me a long time, but I proved to myself that I'm still capable of doing digital illustrations for extended periods of time, so that was fun.

And.... it just so happens to be an Arthur and Persona 4 crossover! My brother and I made this discovery that the cast is surprisingly similar, so I just HAD to draw this.

Pokemon of the Day
(definitely NOT one of my favorite drawings)

And these were some drawings I did at Steak n Shake and Friendly's while waiting.

Chalk Drawings & Livestream Account!

So I ended up reviving my old Livestream account! Unfortunately I do not have a paid account, so the videos will delete after a certain amount of time. But that's why I plan on editing them down so I can post them on Youtube at some point. In the meantime you can see the finished pieces!

Pokemon of the Day drawings!

It was super nice outside this week, so I decided to do some chalk drawings in my driveway. I did all of these besides the drawing of Chozu (the one saying Ew!), which was done by my brother.

Busy with Non-Art Things

Have mostly been working on my lesson plans for teaching this summer, so I haven't been drawing all that much. Also I have been working on going through my entire story, The Nays, and writing summaries to aid me in creating the overall Timeline for the series. I'm getting so close! Considering I've been working on this Timeline (not as diligently until this week of course) for like a year. I assume I'll be done in about a week or so though. So THAT's exciting, for me at least.

Continuing with my Pokemon of the Days project!

Digital Work

Some various drawings I've been doing the past few days. I've been trying to work more digitally. And after only about a week, I've started to finally feel a little more

Pokemon of the Day drawings.

This was a little request I did for my brother, since I lost a bet. I was trying out some new techniques, but I'm not sure how successful they turned out.

Did these while waiting in line at the mall.

Starting a New Project!

After watching some of my super old animations, it kind of inspired me to create a new short animation for my on-going story. So basically what I have been doing is re-designing and finalizing some of my character designs. I also started on some quick storyboards for the said animation. Those aren't even near done so I only included some initial sketches.

This is Yaguzi, a new M Nay that befriends Zandra.

This is Gallu, one of the leaders of Party Sanctuary World, and son of Harukame.

This is Zandra from the future. She's in her late 20s to early 30s here. Already married and has a son at this point.

I haven't gone through and finalized any storyboards. These are just some initial ideas I came up with so I could sketch out some composition ideas. These are the best of the boards, so you can only imagine what the rest look like in this early of a stage.

My Artistic Process

Tumblr user riseofthemeethaychawal asked me about my process and how to draw the way I do, so I put together this short tutorial on my process and some techniques that I use.

This is the final drawing I used for this process.

Back to Daily Drawing!

So I'm finally starting up my real first full week of Summer Break at my house. So I'm trying to get back into the groove of working on projects every day. So far I've been trying to break back into my Tablet. It's been rough getting used to not using a cintiq, but isn't the transition always a challenge every break?

I definitely plan on doing more, I've just been working on learning some programs and really working on some stuff for my story. So this is all I've gotten done so far, but I definitely plan to have some more in the near future!

Starting the Pokemon of the Day event up again, with the time I can! This is Rhyhorn. He was super difficult for me to draw.

And this is another one! I felt a little more comfortable using Photoshop on my Tablet.

Back from Chicago!

So I had a fun week in Chicago. I attended a training session for my job this summer as an instructor at iD Tech Camp. I'll be teaching over at OSU this summer, but Lake Forest was the closest location that the training was held at. So while I was there I did some sight-seeing with my family, and of course I brought my sketch book along and did some doodles.

Mostly I did life drawings from various areas in Chicago.

And then I had some time to sketch some characters too.

Relaxation

So I decided to dedicate the first week of my Summer Break to relaxing and recharging before actually heading straight into working on projects. I've still been drawing a little bit each day, but I haven't really worked on any projects yet. I've mostly been playing games and readjusting to life at home. Plus tomorrow my family heads out on our family vacation, so I won't be active online until next week. Of course I'll still be sketching every day, it may just not be public on the internet (depending on whether I have wifi or not).

First few sketches of my break, mostly just characters.

Mother's Day doodles of my characters and their moms.

Some various character sketches and some little requests from my brother. They're all my brother and I's characters besides the one on the left, who is from a game we've been playing this week.

Some more various character sketches done.

My friend and I started playing Persona 3 Portable so I sketched some of the characters.

Some Pokemon sketches I did of my Nuzlocke challenge before I headed home for summer.
