I've been making a quick visual novel project where I basically turn an Eventure into a visual novel, so it's a more immersive experience. And by doing that, I didn't have any drawings of the Future Nays, soooo I decided to go ahead and make facesets of all of them.
I did some Music Mania doodles since I've been feeling really stuck recently with my art. Soooo I'm just gonna keep on drawing until I get unstuck. Even if I'm not pleased with how things are coming out, eventually it should go away. I did honestly like how that Zandra sketch came out, and that's why I colored it here.
Both of these were sketches I did after re-writing the Time Paradox Eventure.
After Zandra loses Yaguzi, there is a rift in time where PS World begins to break apart. Zandra feels lost at this point, because a lot is going on.
I haven't drawn Yaguzi's current day design yet, so I decided to take a quote from the Time Paradox Eventure and sketch him. Also playing around with how Marks look, because I need to finalize that at some point.
Making more of the comic for The Nays! Page 4 was drawn awhile ago, but I never got around to posting it here. I've been rewriting parts of the beginning, which has made me want to draw more of this part!
Since I finished DanganRonpa V3 the other day, I've been doing some visual novel interface tests. I love making interfaces, so these were a lot of fun!
Thinking about making a Lie City game in RPG Maker MV for a contest maybe??
This is just a concept/look test to try and get something down. I'm not sure if I'll be too busy to actually dedicate enough time to creating this, but I thought it might be a fun idea.
And I thought that this would be a good opportunity for me to draw backgrounds, because I don't draw those enough, and I really need to practice them. I still need to spend more time looking at fonts too, since this was just one that I threw in there last minute.
This one's just another idea for the personal project I would do for myself instead of for posting. Mostly as a project to easier read stories.
I wanted to do a little test to see what a visual novel interface would look like if it were set up like mIRC. This might be something I'll think about using for a personal visual novel game involving Eventures, but I'm not sure. I still would need to think about what I'd use for backgrounds, since that's my weakest point. This is a project I would probably do on the side and possibly not even post, since it would be just for myself, but we'll see. This test is from the Hillside Manor Eventure when Cipo is writing an email to his friend about their vacation.
I was really in the mood for writing, since I've been playing Dangan Ronpa V3, which has a lot of text to read. I decided I wanted to create choices, but I wanted to type in an environment that had more of a journal feel to it, so I wasn't going to create a game. Sooo Twine was the best idea I could come up with! I made a new story since I didn't want to continue my first choose your own adventure story. But basically, you are following a girl named Iniko, who is a time traveler and goes back through time to experience various Eventures as if she were a Nay herself. The story starts out during the Nikeah Eventure where she is on a mission with Johnny. There are tons of conditions using random number generators and dice, but those rules are all written into a separate document. So far there have been 11 entries written, so these all correspond with those events. This was a really fun event, so I'm excited to do more!
Death is an evil creature that has killed countless people throughout The Worlds. He is the son of The Gek, though Death does not like to admit that. Death hates his father and wants to wreck havoc his own way. He attempts to destroy The Gek's plan to keep The Nays in his World forever by trying to kill all of The Nays. Death controls the Death Association in the Demon World, and rules a large portion of that World. Because he is the only Deamon in that portion, the Demons respect him and fear his leadership. Death hides inside of the Rebirth Stone in order to obtain information he needs from The Nays, until Matoko breaks him out and he is forced to abandon that plan. Death is very manipulative and quite literally takes people over so that they will fight against their own friends.
Pobuck is a street artist who draws very crude portraits of his subjects. He often asks for requests so that he can improve his skills, but he is not very experimental and usually draws the same types of things over and over again. He is very good at talking people into buying his strange drawings though, so that is where he gains most of his money.
With October started, that means it's time for Inktober! About a week ago I got some new supplies just in time for Inktober to start: markers, pens, and a sketchbook! I'm super excited to be able to put these supplies to good use, because as you all probably know, I specialize in digital. So experimenting with traditional mediums is always a fun experience. This year I'm trying out something even more new and experimental: creating characters who were not created specifically for The Nays. I thought about how I might be able to incorporate these characters into the story, but I'm not entirely sure if that will ever happen. Instead of creating characters based on prior ideas or already written stories, these characters will be designed from scratch and drawn specifically based on one little prompt. The theme of Inktober for me this year is Post-Apocalyptic Wanderers. I realized that is one genre that hasn't really shown itself at all in The Nays, so I figured this would be something fresh and new. I got this idea from finding these prompts on one of the Inktober Facebook posts. Annnnd here are the first two entries for this year:
This was a fun event! So what I did was found a manga website and clicked the "Surprise Me!" button which chooses a random manga. Then I randomized the chapter number and page number so that I received a random page. From there, I chose a panel and redrew it with The Nays.
Doge got Waltz in a White Dress, Chapter 13, Page 47.
Me and my brother decided to do a Nay Event, and since the Return to Mr Marcus World was the most fun one we've done in awhile, we decided to do a modified version of it. Here is the post where I talked about this event initially. Rather than posting all of the events in one post, I'm going to split it up into a few posts. This post will include all of the various ones that didn't have very great results, but were fun to do.
Mr Marcus World Tests!
Basically they had to draw from random prompts like a family member or friend, which were chosen by picking a random card from another separate deck of cards.
Kicky drew his partner for the event: Chozu!
Ralphie had to draw his favorite World Leader, so he chose Arashi.
For this activity, we used a random number generator to pick a number between 1 and 802. That number corresponded to the Pokemon's number from the National Dex. From there, the Nay would have to be fused with whichever Pokemon was chosen. Some interesting ones were chosen.
Kai fused with Silcoon
Rabiah fused with Purugly
Oekaki Drawing with the Mouse!
A very difficult activity. We had to draw on this Oekaki Board (which limits the file dimensions to 300x300 pixels), using only the mouse to draw. The prompts were chosen from this site, using a random number generator to randomize the prompts.
Piko had to draw himself with live snakes in his pocket.
Amber had to draw herself at her desk with everything that's on it.
This one was quite a challenge. We had to keep a pure black layer at 99% opacity at the top of the file and draw the partner on a layer beneath. So it was very difficult to see where you had left off last, meaning it is basically drawing blind, ESPECIALLY for the colors.
Pun had to draw Scroll
Johnny had to draw Vhan
Just as the title says, this challenge I had to draw using my left hand. I'm right-handed, so it was very challenging!
Pubby drew himself
Mikey drew himself
Illust Maker Portraits! The Nays had to recreate themselves using this Illust Maker website. I used to ALWAYS use this site when I was in grade school, and I'm surprised it's still around. But this was a funny little event.
